Static Images: Introduction and Basics

   


Colour: The vibrance of the orange helps the revolver and text stand out. Orange also shows determination.

Negative space: the Negative space (Black) shows a revolver and a mans face and to make the revolver stand out

human figure: The human figure shows a stern, determined males face amongst the revolver and orange background.

Size: The size of the male's face and the revolver is large so then it causes the elements to stand out and be more visible to catch your eye.

Text: The title "Dirty Harry" is white are larger than the rest of the text to make it more noticeable and stand out more.





Colour: The grey background symbolises maturity to go with the immature joke. The grey also helps the black font stand out.

Proportion: The Lettering of the D_ICK is a lot larger than the rest of the text and images on the picture to make it the main focus to catch your attention.

Dominant Image: The dominant image in this is the D_CK text due to the size and the placing within being between the centre and top third of the screen.

Empty Space: White (Empty) space helps highlight the text and images throughout the poster and make them more vivid and noticeable and just to draw more attention towards them.

  1. Hi Liam, Not sure if it just my device or there's something wrong but I'm unable to see your first static image you chose. Your second image is, interesting. Your description for the shower advertisement shows you understand some of the meaning behind the features shown in this image. I can see where your coming from when you describe about the highlighted white color behind the words which merges with the grey framing. Great Job!
