Yes because all people need power to comfortably survive especially during the winter.

What does the author want us to know?
In my assumption, the author of the text is wanting us to know how the salvation army helps New Zealand families with some struggles they have in the household such as; Sicknesses from being in damp/wet environments from not having enough heat or poor house conditions.

Making a balancing toy

Pathos, Ethos and Logos

What is pathos? Pathos is a quality that evokes pity or sadness.

How is pathos used? Pathos is is a rhetorical device that can be used in an argument to draw the audience in and to help it connect with the argument.

An example of pathos is "If we don't move soon, we're all going to die!"

What is ethos? the characteristic spirit of a culture, era, or community as manifested in its attitudes and aspirations.

How is Ethos used? 

Macbeth Characterisation

Ambitious: Macbeth was hungry over having the power of being king so he killed King Duncan and took his spot as king.

Deceptive, False: When Macbeth had killed King Duncan he framed the guards to make it seem like they had killed King Duncan and had them killed as a result.

Ruthless, Callous, Tyrannical: When Macbeth ordered murderers to kill Banquo who trusted him.

How to convert your digital drill gauge from tinkercad to UpStudio

This is my blog that will be showing you how to convert your digital drill gauge or anything that is going to be 3d printed from Tinkercad to UpStudio.

Once you have finished creating your Tinkercad and it is ready to print you will need to export your file.
In the top right corner, you should see these options.

You need to click Export. Once you click export you should have these options show up.

From here you need to click download as a .STL file.

Load up UpStudio. Once you have opened UpStudio you should see this.

You will see some options on the Left side of your screen you will need to click the option on the bottom left of the screen and preheat your printer. 

Once you have done this you are going to need to click the + icon and you should see something like this come up (without the lines and labels).

From here you need to click the insert 3d model option and insert your .STL file you saved before on Tinkercad then you are pretty much ready to print.

Macbeth and The Oustisiders Critical Literacy

What do the images suggest? The image in the film Macbeth,

when Lady Macbeth saw a hallucination of A child figure which

could be occurring as a result of grief and guilt which could suggest

that she had killed a child which she said she would do if that means

Macbeth could be king.

Who is missing from the film? Many signs of an adult figure as there weren't many

times where we saw an adult

Which positions, voices and interests are at play in this text? 2 groups of gang-affiliated

teens the Socs (rich) and the Greasers (poor) but one of the Greasers (Ponyboy) said

that the Greasers were not so much of a gang but more of a group.

Manufacture of a metal drill gauage

Drill Gauge Revision Blog.

Last term for tech we had to create a drill gauge during this process I learnt many different things such as finding what a micrometre and vernier are and how to use them appropriately

What I found hard while creating my drill gauge is getting all the drill hole with appropriate and even spacing in between each other. I overcame this problem by using an Engineers square, a scribe and a ruler to measure the distance between each gap.

Something that I have learnt on this topic is how to use a micrometre and a vernier calliper in the correct way to get accurate measurements.

 The tools we used are: Micrometer, Vernier Caliper, Engineer Square, Scribe, 300mm Rule, Centre Punch, Hammer and Odd Leg Calliper

Micrometre: A micrometre is a tool used for the precise measurement of very small objects. A micrometre can measure the depth, length and thickness of whatever object fits between its anvil and spindle. How to use a micrometre video

Vernier: A Vernier calliper can be used to measure either the length of an object or depth of an object. The device consists of a main scale fitted with a jaw at one end and another jaw fitted with a vernier scale which moves over the main scale. How to use a vernier calliper video

Engineer Square: A right angled piece of measuring equipment used to accurately measure right angles or straight lines.
Scribe: A scribe is a sharply tipped piece of equipment to mark out wood or metal to be cut.
300mm Rule: a specifically sized and marked sheet of stainless steel sheet used to measure perimeter and sizes of objects.
Centre punch: A sharp-tipped piece of metal used to create an indentation for while drilling the drill bit will not slip.
Odd Legged Calliper: An odd legged calliper is a piece of equipment with a bent inward leg and a straight leg ending with a pointed tip used to scribe at a specified distance.
